After resting for the day the surgery was conducted and the day after, you may return to your job after 2 days. - There will be a corset usage after the surgery. The corset usage time depends on the doctor. I prefer 3 weeks. The corset is as much as important as the surgery. I find the results of 3 week corset usage more successful. - Some patients may experience light bruisings. When the corset usage ends, the bruising will be gone. - Because of the oedema and swelling after the surgery, the results won’t be visible immidiately. After 3 weeks, you won’t have a breast growth problem anymore. - Patients from abroad may return to their country the next day after noon. - You may start sport activities etc. after 3 weeks. Before the breast reducing surgery: - 10 days before the surgery, blood thinning medication like aspirin should be quitted. All painkillers can be used, except the ones that thin blood. - Herbal teas and vitamin pills shouldn’t be used. - If you have any other disease or illness, you should state this to your doctor. For example, if you have stents attached to your heart, you should state this. - You definitely should talk to your doctor about the surgery being conducted under general or local anesthesia. Depending on this your doctor will prepare the surgery. - When you arrive to your rest room, you will have a corset on. The corset will be provided by me as your plastic surgeon. You won’t need to buy it beforehand.
